The Independent Monitor will ensure that the following procedures will be used upon completion of the soil cleanup process:

When the soil cleanup level goals are met, the VES will be shut down and decommissioned. Termination and abandonment conditions will be in conformance with requirements approved by the Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB).

The vapor extraction wells will be sealed shut with pressure grouting.

The vapor treatment plant will be dismantled and removed from the site. All equipment shall be removed, and the buildings and structures shall be demolished. All demolition debris will be removed from the site leaving it readily usable to future owners. As part of the demolition, valve vaults will be eliminated, and open pipes will be sealed by grouting and/or another suitable method. All remnants of the project, including pipelines, wellheads, etc. will be surveyed and indicated on an approved map for use by future property owners and/or developers of the property.
