Trained counselors are available 24/7, 365 days a year. All calls are free and 100% confidential. In addition, www.TheTrevorProject.org has important information on identifying suicidal signs, how to assist someone with suicidal tendencies and resources for more detailed information. The Trevor Website also houses "Dear Trevor" a confidential Question & Answer forum for young people. The Trevor Teaching Guide, to used in a classroom setting in conjunction with the short film "Trevor" is available free of charge on the website. Copies of the short film are available by contacting the administrative offices.Mission Statement: The Trevor Project is a nonprofit endeavor established to promote acceptance of gay and questioning teenagers, and to aid in suicide prevention among that group. Notes: The Trevor Help line was initially made possible by a startup grant from the Colin Higgins Foundation. Fundraising continues to maintain its operation. The Trevor Project is a non-profit corporation with 501(c)3 status, and all contributions are tax deductible and can be made via our website or by calling the administrative offices at (310) 271-8845. |
