Warehouse No.1 is a division of the Financial Services Department. It's function is to support the various City Departments. The main responsibilities of Warehouse 1 include the ordering and maintenance of stock items used throughout the City. Some of the hundreds of items are:

Fuel supplies for the PW yard and Fire Stations

Safety supplies from first aid kits, safety cones & earthquake kits

Parts for autos and heavy duty trucks

Equipment for field crews such as broom, rakes, hoses, gloves, water

Everyday supplies such as paper and envelopes.
The Warehouse staff is also responsible for delivering many of these supplies to the departments and for coordinating the auction of the City's surplus items such as vehicles, equipment, office furniture and computers.
The goal of Warehouse 1 is to provide a high level of customer service to each of the City Departments. Although not traditionally seen as a function that supports the citizens of Burbank directly, the Warehouse works behind the scenes to do their part to make sure the City runs smoothly everyday.
