Burbank City Council Seeks Applicants
for Traffic and Transportation Committee

             Applications are being accepted through Friday, June 30, 2006 by the Burbank City Council for a two-year term on the Traffic and Transportation Committee ending on June 1, 2008 . The Committee meets every second Thursday of every other month at 2:00 p.m. and consists of thirteen members.  One representative each is designated by the City Manager, Public Works Director, Police Chief, Community Development Director and Superintendent of the Burbank Unified School District . The eight remaining members are Burbank residents appointed by the City Council.

          Interested individuals can pick up an application at the City Clerk's Office in City Hall, 275 East Olive Avenue . Application forms are also available on the City's Web Site, www.ci.burbank.ca.us. The deadline for submitting an application to the City Clerk is Friday, June 30, 2006 at 5:00 p.m. with the appointment scheduled to be made at the July 18, 2006 Council meeting.

          Most City Board, Commission, and Committee members serve without compensation (BMC Section 2-405) and must be electors of and actually reside in the City.   No person shall serve on more than one Board, Commission or Committee at the same time.
