Burbank City Council Seeks Applicants for Vacancy
on Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy Advisory Committee

Applications are being accepted through February 27, 2004 by the Burbank City Council for a four-year term on the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy Advisory Committee ending March 9, 2008. The Committee consists of 23 members who meet once a month in the evenings at various locations throughout the County.

The Committee proposes and reviews projects for the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy Board action, reports to the Conservancy Board regarding the conformity of projects with the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy Strategic Plan and Rim of the Valley Corridor Master Plan, and reviews proposed amendments.

Interested individuals can pick up an application at the City Clerk’s Office in City Hall, 275 East Olive Avenue. Application forms are also available on the City’s Web Site, www.ci.burbank.ca.us. The deadline for submitting an application to the City Clerk is Friday, February 27, 2004 at 5:00 pm. with the appointment scheduled to be made at the March 9, 2004 Council meeting.

Most City Board, Commission, and Committee members serve without compensation (BMC Section 2-405) and must be electors of and actually reside in the City.
