The application period is being extended through June 28, 2002 for one appointment to the City’s Downtown Parking Management Committee (Parking Committee).

The Parking Committee will work with staff from the Public Works, Community Development, and Police Departments to provide recommendations for Downtown Parking Management. The preferred composition of the Committee is as follows: one Transportation Commissioner, one Planning Board member, one representative of the Downtown Stakeholders’ Association, one representative from the Media City Center Mall, and one business representative/merchant from each of the eight blocks bounded by Angeleno Avenue, First Street, Magnolia Boulevard, and Third Street.

Interested qualified persons may pick up an application at the City Clerk’s Office in City Hall, 275 East Olive Avenue. The deadline for submitting an application to the City Clerk has been extended to Tuesday, July 28, 2002 at 5:00 p.m., with the appointment scheduled to be made at the July 9, 2002 City Council meeting.
